Because pay is tied to occurrences, a percentage model tracks the actual revenue of each class, and a flat fee applies cleanly to each session taught. There's no separate tally to keep.

When a substitute covers a class, pay follows the person who actually taught it, not the one originally scheduled. That precedence is handled automatically per occurrence, so cover never quietly pays the wrong teacher or double-counts a session.
